IITCOE would organize an annual conference to highlight the work done during the year as well as to provide a forum for sharing insights with the industry, government, regulators and other academic institutes.

Invited Talk/Seminars Organized at IITCOE

• Prof. Rajarajan from City University of London and Prof. Wendie Currie from Warwick delivered a seminar at IIM Ahmedabad as a part of joint research project on Digital Identity Management on November 17, 2008.
• A talk on “Internet Governance: Issues and Challenges” by Dr. David Souter (Managing Director of ICT Development Associates) was organized by IITCOE on November 28, 2008. UN's Internet Governance Forum, challenges, controversial and critical Issues involved were discussed in detail in the talk.
• Invited talk by Dr P. Neogi on “ICTs and the Internet Economy: Issues and Challenges”, Senior Member, Industry Canada on January 27th, 2009 at IIM-A.

Conferences

• IITCOE organized and participated in the Third Edition of INDIA TELECOM 2008 Conference and Exhibition held at New Delhi during December 11-13, 2008 arranged by Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications & IT, and Government of India in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
• Prof. Rekha Jain presented a talk on “How India can become a Leader in Wireless Communications: Role of Policy Maker/ Regulator/ Government” in the inaugural session at the conference. Other session topics at the conference were Economic & Social Development in Rural India, Broadband for All, Strategy & New Business Approaches, Value Added Services & Content Management, Regulatory and Policy Environment.
